The Accounts Module is used to track revenue generating customers. The Account itself contains the Contacts, Opportunities, Projects, and/or Tickets that are associated with a stream of revenue. The account is the last stage of the sales pipeline and first stage of the service and growth pipeline. Organizing all account related data to one unified area is an easy way to service and support each account.
Tracking accounts and their associated items is critical to managing your customers, tracking sales and issues. By inputting customers in to the Accounts Module, you are able to keep them segregated from non-paying "Prospects", correspondence and marketing may be different for exsisting customers (Accounts) than prospective customers (Leads).
Accounts are paying customers and the first step on the revenue side of the sales funnel. It is important to convert leads and contacts into Accounts within the system to keep an accurate view of the effectiveness of your marketing efforts.
