CMMI - what does it require?

Initiating CMMI in an organization requires time, effort and commitment throughout every level and department within the company.
I am working on a CMMI certification for an organiztion that has previously passed a Maturity Level 2 Audit. Fortunately there are many others versed in CMMI who are willing to assist me in getting up to speed quickly. Though I have come to realize that there is a significant variation in exactly how things are intrepreted - so the objective actions are the viewd with a subject eye. If you dont believe this then just look at the many discussion that take place on any CMMI message board or join a CMMI group. I have found this to be very interesting (and often amusing since these folks are very intelligent and never seem to pass up an opportunity to display their wit). I will keep this blog updated with my experiences as I move through this effort.
