American Standing in the World

Part of a great series at The Miller Center
A few weeks back I went to a symposium at The Miller Center (TMC). TMC is the public policy center at the University of Virginia. Truth be told, I've only gone to two functions at the Center and both because they somehow related to someone I know -- the first when Anne-Marie Slaughter, my son's god mother and the ex-Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton, was speaking and the second for a symposium on American Standing in the world.
Anyway, in both cases I came away so impressed with the level of talent TMC brought in and the quality of the discussion that resulted. So, if you're ever in Charlottesville and you have an interest in US policy and/or history, you should consider visiting the Center. It's the type of organization few people know much about and is world class in stature
