What is a Portlet?
In Concourse Suite terms a portlet is an individual web component, or also considered a mini Java application that can be pluggable within a small JSP or HTML web interface. These can be plugged in anywhere within the Concourse application. An example of a portlet would be the conversion chart within the Pipeline module. Currently there are 20-25 portlets that are being developed within Concourse Suite with many in 5.0. More information on the Java Portlet Specification (JSR-168) can be found here.
