Hi everyone,

Well...this group seems to be the only one for help topics on Concourse Suite...yet seems to be like a barren desert. Where is everyone?

That's not actually my question. Most other CRM solutions like Maximizer offer the ability to globally edit a contact. This is an essential feature in a CRM. I've looked high and low on the Concourse site...and can't figure it out?

Firstly...can it be done?

Secondly...if it can't...here's why it's critical. Say for instance someone needs to change imported contacts to reflect a certain business type so they can differentiate them from others for campaign and search purposes...but they have imported 2000 contacts. How would they do that? How about if they want to change from a private contact record to public on a large scale? Just a couple reasons.

If anyone can help...please do!

Ok, to clarify, when you say globally edit a contact that means you want to specify some criteria, then based on that criteria make a change to one or more fields of those records.

In ConcourseSuite that means having a database user make the change as there isn't a UI for that.

With that said, I can't believe this hasn't been requested or put on the CRM backlog. I'd appreciate seeing this as an idea so I'll just post it there.

If you're on a hosted solution I'm sure this could be accommodated if you have a list of these changes.

As for the barren dessert, truthfully I think it's because we recently updated our web site (just this week!) and reorganized the community. We've decided to merge the Enterprise and Open Source discussions into a single one because we have merged the products into a single release.

Thanks for the reply. It was a little difficult to find my way around the first time here. It seems to be going in the right direction. The response on this one was very slow...obviously due to the reasons you mention in your reply. That said...the response to my question through your contact us section was very quick and much appreciated however.

I look forward to any improvements.
