How do you add Assets to the Main or Root Account. Why does the main account not show up when a search is performed on all accounts. This seems to be a major flaw!
Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Jason,
There is no Main or Root account. If your intent is to create an account for your own company, you have to physically create one, then populate it.
Am I getting your intent wrong here?

Thanks very much for the reply....
When we configured the system we created our company in "Admin->Configure System->Company Information" We designated Organization Name, Web Site URL, etc...
Once that was done we used the "Organization Name" defined in Company Information to add Employees, Projects and Tickets to our Organization. The problem we are having is that we can't add Assets. Maybe because the "Company Information->Organization Name" is not a Root Account as you say though it is accessible for attaching some things. This is a big problem for us as almost all of our work has been attached to this non-account.
Does this make any sense? what is our work around?
Thanks very much for any help or work around.
I guess what might solve the issue as stated above would be to add an Asset tab.
Why can't we have a global asset category like the global Employee, Projects and Leads, etc... tabbed categories? Or am I misunderstanding something conceptually?
Thanks again.

Jason,
Probably a good idea and something we should do. Historically, Centric CRM was not meant as an application to track lots of things about your own company - not an IT inventory and management system for instance. So we never added that capability.
Honestly we have worked around this ourselves by entering CentriC CRM as an account in our own CRM and adding assets to that account. It's not perfect, but it works for us.
Unfortunately we already have a very long list of features to develop on our current roadmap. Is this something you or your company would be interested in developing?
