I actually had no problem with importing but found the behaviour not optimal. I like the idea of mapping the CSV file onto the various fields in Centric but found it oriented strongly towards contact creation and not account creation.
My original data had:
Contacts with phone, mobile, email ... details. and an Account-ID.
Accounts with Company-name, address and main-phone details.
Of course the import meant I had to align a contact with the company address but I couldn't insert the old company address into the Account address, only the Contact address.
Having tried to export the data into Salesforce.com I found that they had a two stage import process. Stage 1 was align data with account details, and stage 2 was align contacts with accounts (probably based upon account company name as the key). In regards to Centric it may mean that I have to export with two columns, Account address and Contact address but I can create these two columns trivially.
