Description
Scheduled Activity with valid contact and date but no description; click [Save]
It gives description missing error but looses its reference to the Contact so it must be rechosen.
Solution
Fixed during 'Account, Contact, and Pipeline Activity Enhancements' task
Fixed by setting contactId to Call object while saving

Kailash Bhoopalam 11/13/2006, 11:50 AM | The error has been only partially fixed, because it is trapped at the java script, however, if you enter an invalid date (say just text), the request is made to the server for a server side validation. When the validation error is thrown to the user, the contact that was entered is lost... I guess the solutuion must insure that the object that comes back to the UI after server validation must have the selected contact populated in it. |
