We have an idea to implement the import of OO.o .odt text documents into wiki.
Any ideas, suggestions, comments, remarks, etc.?
MS Office is not considered at all. We don't have it and not going to support it.
No promises on time and ever finishing the feature.

This is a great idea. In general, we're thinking through the capability to import HTML documents too... since a wiki can translate to HTML, it would be nice to translate from HTML. The conversion is not meant to round-trip the formatting, but is intended to perform a best compromise as I'm sure the OO format would have to concede to.
A common interface for plugable importers is absolutely desired.
