Ticket # 19

This ticket is ready for review
Severity: Important
Category: Usability (feature works, but awkward)

Description

Messages can't be seen across users after loading through the Outlook plugin. There are some major challenges using the application as designed with sharing information across users. The point of pushing messages from our Outlook email accounts into Concursive would be to share the information with other team members. Often the messages aren't available in the application to the person who pushed the message in and most often the messages are not available to other team members. Is this a design flaw? Seems like it is just a buggy or inflexible system for permissioning the objects from our side. It shouldn't be hard to make information public within the CRM system about accounts, contacts, and messages.

Solution

Dan - can you trying upgrading to 5.0.3 and let us know if the provided solution meets your needs? Thanks.

tom feltman 1/14/2008, 2:57 PM Changes have been made so that the messages listed under the contact history can be viewed as long as you have permission to view the contact. This will be partially resolved in the 5.0.3 release (due out the end of the week). We are in the process of allowing all messages under a contact to be viewed from that location as well - except the account->contacts location still has a permissions issue that is being worked on. I am hoping to be able to deliver full functionality in the 5.0.4 release.
