Is it possible to integrate with ms office, word and excel via ole? And if so, is the "how to" for this included in the manual? I am considering buying the manual but I want to be sure it has what I need.

MS office integration

Centric CRM does not have OLE integration so you won't find information on it. How would you like to see OLE integration work?
Well I would like to be able to integrate the user with Outlook such that users can still use outlook as they already are and any email messages to/from contacts stored in Centric can be attached to that contact record.
Also, I would like to be able to create letters to contacts by using Word templates. This would also be useful for mail merge capability when doing mail shots to a number of leads or contacts, etc.
In addition, any appointments created in Centric should also appear in outlook...if only for continuity. Many organisations are already hooked onto Outlook!
I agree with this. All our employees use Office and Outlook for email/planning. So an integration would be great stuff. See vtiger.com for this.
Best regards.

I'm working on some of this for my own office. I'm not using OLE though, because it needs to be able to work offline.
The scripts will be made available, since my little company can't afford a license, we'll just contribute back what we can.
Instead, I'm building around XML-HTTP API to have a process that synchronizes contacts to and from the server and then uses Outlook's native storage format for the contacts themselse. Admittedly, I am having some issues still, with error response getting the API to work right, but will hopefully have more of this working shortly.
