Connect and Alfresco

3/6/2011 1:23 PM EST

Hi all,
I am using Alfresco in my company.
As you can see here http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Doclib_Portlet Alfresco has released (since ver. 3.4) new portlets that make available some document management features in other platform.

Have you never integrated Connect with Alfresco?
Regards
Alessandro

Hi Alessandro, I haven't integrated Connect with Alfresco, however I read through the wiki and I have a sense of how the portlets would work, but the technical requirements are not spelled out. Connect has a JSR 168 Portlet Engine so if that meets the minimum requirement then it ought to work.

According to the wiki, I saw two requirements:

1) Usernames in Connect must be the same as Alfresco (I assume this is technically done through request.getRemoteUser() or perhaps even request.getUserPrincipal())

2) The portlets must be placed on their own pages

Those two requirements Connect fulfills, so if I had more technical details or a contact at Alfresco to discuss this with, then perhaps we could find out.

Regards,
Matt
