Hello everybody,
first of all thankyou for this great product!
I am looking for an italian localization for Connect.
If it doesn't exist, how can I start to translate?
Thanks and regards
Ale

Hello Alessandro, while the application supports localization of dates, times, and currency, it doesn't have any language translations yet... so in the spirit of making this happen, a couple of items would help this along...

1) We've separated most, if not all of the text from the code. So with text translation of email templates and several XML files, this could work. These files are in the source code and end in "en_US.xml"

2) In several places in the application's HTML, the code uses a <ccp:label> around the English phrases. The resource name is identified and the translation goes in yet another XML file. There are several places however in which the <ccp:label> has not been used and the team wants to have a better scheme for these. When we did translations around 2 years ago, the <ccp:label> wasn't consistent and it's now outdated. This work, preferably by a software developer needs to happen.

So, in order to get translations working, the <ccp:label> needs to be completed in the HTML. Then we have a script that generates an XML file based on these. Once that XML file is edited, the application uses the translation instead.

The team doesn't yet have a sponsor for the translations so we can't move forward ourselves. If someone's interested then we could work something out and then the application could be translated into most any language.

Kind regards.

I run it with Netbeans, the console has the following warning
Settings: Could not parse struts.locale setting, substituting default VM locale
even after I put a file "struts.properties" in both folds of "src\main\java" and "src\main\webapp\WEB-INF", added "struts.locale=en_GB"
Is there some wrong?
